We did it!
Thanks to all the amazing support we’ve received in the last few weeks we are able to announce that Black Swan Arts has survived the worst crisis in its nearly forty-year history. Thanks to many people’s huge generosity we can pay the utility bills and make the necessary repairs to the roof. But even more importantly we can now continue to bring the best in contemporary art to the community of Frome free of charge, to offer a range of creative workshops and courses and continue to provide subsidised studio spaces for young and emerging artists in line with our charitable aims.
Yes, we’re delighted to be able to bring you this brilliant news, but we’re not complacent. We know there is still much to do to secure the long-term future of the town’s leading arts and crafts venue and will soon be announcing plans for new fund-raising initiatives and plans for a fantastic series of events to celebrate Black Swan Arts 40th anniversary year in 2026.

Your support has been very humbling and you’ll be pleased to know that the success of the last few weeks has provided the springboard for an exciting new chapter in the Swan’s history. 2026 will be our 40th anniversary year and we really hope you’ll be joining in with the plans to make it 12 months to remember, with lots of opportunities to get involved and celebrate.
