Title: ‘Freedom’ Artbox, Frome
Date: 25 February – 3 March
Screen printing workshops 3 March
A group exhibition, showcasing original artwork and limited edition prints from the Artbox Frome artists.
Artbox Frome is a charity working with adults with learning disabilities to create, exhibit and sell their artwork. By purchasing their work you acquire unique and affordable art, while providing a source of income for the artists, as well as partly funding our workshops, exhibitions and studio sessions.
Many adults with learning disabilities often struggle to socialise and earn an income. At Artbox we want to change this and have developed opportunities that aim to improve the wellbeing, inclusion and independence of people with learning disabilities.
The group decided on Freedom as the title for this exhibition as they felt that Artbox provided them with the freedom to create their work and inspire one another.
This exhibition is a combination of works from the year. It features pieces by eight of our artists, in a variety of media, including paint, pastel, pens, ink and clay. It promises to be an exciting and diverse show.
Our Artists will be leading screen-printing workshops Sunday 3 March in the exhibition space. Members of the public are encouraged to come and learn about the process and create their own prints for free.
