Elly Hawley
Elly joined Hauser & Wirth Somerset as Associate Director in April 2019. Prior to joining Hauser & Wirth, she was Associate Director at the New Art Centre, Roche Court, Salisbury.
Starting her career at White Cube in 2005 in the Exhibitions and Artist Liaison department, she then spent several years at Pace in New York. Returning to London, she ran the studio of installation artist Isaac Julien fundraising for ambitious filming projects as well as managing multiple exhibitions and production schedules.
In 2015 Elly relocated to Los Angeles to work as the first Artist Liaison / Associate Director at Regen Projects providing a new level of support and management for artists, exhibitions and production. Working closely with the artist Theaster Gates, she went on to manage his multi-faceted studios and varying projects in the South Side of Chicago. Elly hold a BA Honours in History of Art from the University of Manchester.
