Lucy Glendinning
Sculptor and installation artist
Background and career
Lucy Glendinning was born in 1964 and lives and works in Somerset.
Studied fine art sculpture at the University of the West of England, Bristol. After leaving college Lucy worked for Ken Cooks bronze foundry casting works by Elizabeth Frink. Following this, she worked for an Arts Council funded public art collective developing public projects in Manchester and the North East.
Lucy has exhibited extensively in the UK, Europe, and the USA, she has representation in Europe, and America. Exhibiting in museums, at biennales and art fairs regularly, including:

- Grand Rapids Art Museum, USA
- La Halle Saint Pierre Museum, Paris
- Halle14, Leipzic, Acc Gallery, Weimar
- Ashmolean Museum
- Meijer Sculpture Gardens USA

Lucy has completed eleven public commissions throughout the UK. Several of those were award winning, including a Civic Trust Award, the Landscape Institute Award (twice), and a Red Rose Award.
Lucy has worked on several art-science collaborations winning a Calouste Gulbenkian grant. And she has recently had a solo exhibition at GSA Gallery in Stockholm.
